ORDER Before the Court in the above-styled cause of action is the Parties' Joint Request to Extend the Demand Deadline [#63]. The parties jointly request the Court extend the deadline by which they are required to exchange settlement demands to run concurrently with the deadline the Court sets for the parties to mediate this case, if any. The Court's Scheduling Order provides a deadline for those parties asserting claims for relief to submit a written offer of settlement by November 29, 2019, and each opposing party to respond in writing by December 13, 2019. The 1 current Scheduling Order does not provide a deadline for mediation, and it is not this Court's practice to do so. The parties do not ask the Court for a specific new deadline for exchanging settlement offers but indicate that they anticipate mediating this case on February 13, 2020. The parties are welcome to reach any agreement to extend a deadline in the Scheduling Order other than the deadline for filing dispositive motions or for trial. Nonetheless, the Court will extend the deadlines and supply the dates for the requested extension. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the parties asserting claims for relief must submit a written offer of settlement to opposing parties by January 24, 2020, and each opposing party must respond in writing by February 7, 2020. SIGNED this 2nd day of December, 2019. ELIZABETH S. ("BETSY") CHESTNEY UNITED STATES MAGISTRATE JUDGE 2
